Our Approach to Healthcare Planning: Ask the Right Question
Through our work we have discovered that many clients are unsure of their long term strategic goals and how each initiative supports them. Given the length of time required to bring a healthcare project to its conclusion it is vital that care be taken in establishing clear actionable steps that support the long term vision.
HealthcareFusion is committed working with senior leadership; administrative, financial, clinical, information technology, support services and facilities along with your design and construction teams to identify the right question. Each constituent must have a voice in the process to identify ideas that are sustainable. Unless each participates in the conversation any solution will be compromised. Establishing the right goals and process are vitally important.
Remember support staff (laboratory, pharmacy, food service, information technology, etc) all need a voice in any project to be sure their needs to serve the patients and staff are not compromised. Many project suffer once open due to inadequate or ill designed space to accommodate those functions.
We utilize Lean Project principles to streamline and focus our efforts. Immersive charrettes are also used to fully embed the team in the project goals. We establish integrated teams and encourage all to participate. We know that each participant has their focus. Our process aligns all participants to a mutually agreed vision.
